Creamy Jalapeño Chicken Soup

Ingredients:

15ml butter 10ml garlic crushed 2jalapeño(s) deseeded & chopped 250ml LANCEWOOD Sauce Delight® Cheese Sauce 625ml chicken stock 5ml salt 5ml oregano 5ml cracked black pepper 5ml paprika 625ml chicken cooked & shredded 250ml LANCEWOOD® White Cheddar grated

To serve as topping: 60ml bacon diced & fried 1jalapeño(s) sliced 15ml fresh parsley chopped

Method

  1. Heat a pot over medium-high heat and add the butter, garlic and onion. Allow to cook for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the jalapeños and cook for a further 2 minutes.
  3. Add the cheese sauce, chicken stock, salt, oregano, pepper and paprika and mix through.
  4. Add the chicken and cheese and mix together. Reduce the heat to low and allow to simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Serve the soup with a topping of your choice and enjoy warm.
