Creamy Jalapeño Chicken Soup
Ingredients:
15ml butter
10ml garlic
crushed
2jalapeño(s)
deseeded & chopped
250ml LANCEWOOD Sauce Delight® Cheese Sauce
625ml chicken stock
5ml salt
5ml oregano
5ml cracked black pepper
5ml paprika
625ml chicken
cooked & shredded
250ml LANCEWOOD® White Cheddar
grated
To serve as topping:
60ml bacon
diced & fried
1jalapeño(s)
sliced
15ml fresh parsley
chopped
Method
- Heat a pot over medium-high heat and add the butter, garlic and onion. Allow to cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the jalapeños and cook for a further 2 minutes.
- Add the cheese sauce, chicken stock, salt, oregano, pepper and paprika and mix through.
- Add the chicken and cheese and mix together. Reduce the heat to low and allow to simmer for 30 minutes.
- Serve the soup with a topping of your choice and enjoy warm.
