Cheesy Truffle Dip

Ingredients:

125 g button mushrooms
or Shimei mushrooms
30 ml butter
230 g LANCEWOOD® Medium Fat Plain Cream Cheese
250 ml LANCEWOOD Sauce Delight® Mushroom Sauce
10 ml lemon juice
salt & freshly ground black pepper
2 spring onion(s), finely chopped
250 ml LANCEWOOD® Medium Fat Mozzarella, grated
10 ml truffle flavoured oil
or more to taste
1 Baguette, sliced and toasted for dipping

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180oC.
  2. Heat the butter in a pan and fry the mushrooms until golden and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, beat the cream cheese, mushroom sauce, lemon juice and seasoning together. Add the spring onions, mozzarella and truffle oil and mix through.
  4. Spoon the mixture into a serving dish suitable for the oven. Bake for 25 – 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  5. Top with the fried mushrooms and drizzle with truffle oil. Serve with toasted baguettes.
