30 ml olive oil
1/2 onion, diced
5 ml crushed garlic
15 ml oregano, fresh or dried
Salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 can chopped tomatoes
1 kg beef mince
250 g mushrooms, sliced
2 x 250 ml LANCEWOOD Sauce Delight™ White Sauce
125 g LANCEWOOD® Medium Fat Mozzarella, grated
fresh thyme, chopped for garnishing
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Pour the olive oil into a pot and add the onion, garlic, oregano and seasoning. Add the tomatoes and mince and simmer over a medium heat for 15 minutes. Layer the bottom of a greased baking dish with half of the mince. Layer over half of the mushrooms and 1 tub white sauce. Repeat the layers and top with mozzarella. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Garnish with the fresh thyme and enjoy!
