Cheesy Banting Lasagne

Ingredients:

30 ml olive oil
Half an onion, diced
5 ml garlic, crushed
15 ml oregano
fresh or dried
salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste
400 g canned chopped tomatoes
1 kg beef mince
250 g mushrooms, sliced
500 ml LANCEWOOD Sauce Delight® Cheese Sauce
150 g LANCEWOOD® Medium Fat Mozzarella, grated
fresh thyme, chopped for garnishing

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Pour the olive oil into a pot and add the onion, garlic, oregano and seasoning. Add the tomatoes and mince and simmer over a medium heat for 15 minutes.
  3. Layer the bottom of a greased baking dish with half of the mince.
  4. Layer over half of the mushrooms and 1 tub cheese sauce. Repeat the layers and top with mozzarella.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Garnish with the fresh thyme and enjoy!
