1sourdough bread or any other store bought round bread (potbrood)
45mlbutter, melted
60mlLANCEWOOD Jalapeño Chutney DIP&TOP®
5mlbbq spice
15mldried chives
100gLANCEWOOD® Cheddar, grated
Method
1. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add the butter. Fry the boerewors until they are just cooked. Remove from the pan and cut into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.
2. Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a baking tray with non-stick spray.
3. Return the frying pan to a medium heat and add the butter. Add the onion and fry until soft and golden. Set aside.
4. Slice the bread horizontally and vertically halfway down to create square pockets. Brush with melted butter.
5. Stuff the garlic evenly between the bread pockets. Now stuff the boerewors slices, followed by the fried onion.
6. Add the dip evenly between the pockets and sprinkle with BBQ spice and chives. Lastly, stuff each pocket with cheese.
7. Place the stuffed bread on the baking tray and bake for 8 - 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
