30 ml oil
300 g stewing beef, roughly chopped
5 ml paprika
15 ml thyme, fresh or dried
5 ml garlic, crushed
Salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste
250 ml green beans, chopped
3 large carrots, chopped
2 celery stalks
½ onion, diced
15 ml tomato paste
410 g tomato puree
15 ml Worcestershire sauce
125 ml red wine
5 medium potatoes, quartered
500 ml beef stock
115 g LANCEWOOD® Medium Fat Plain Cream Cheese
Heat oil in a large pot and add stewing beef. Fry over medium heat for 10 minutes until meat is browned. Sprinkle in the paprika, thyme, garlic and seasoning. Add the green beans, carrots, celery and onion. Mix together and cook over medium heat for 5 – 10 minutes. Add the tomato paste, tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce, red wine, potatoes and stock. Mix together and leave to simmer on low heat for 90 – 120 minutes. Add the LANCEWOOD® Medium Fat Plain Cream Cheese and mix well through. Serve with bread and fresh thyme.
