4 large onions, peeled
10 ml olive oil
5 ml crushed garlic
5 ml dried thyme
2 ml Salt
60 ml LANCEWOOD® White Cheddar, grated
60 ml LANCEWOOD® Medium Fat Smokey Onion & Mustard Cream Cheese
4 small sprigs of rosemary
Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add the onions. Allow to boil for 15 minutes.
Remove onions from the water and cut off each end of the onion.
Use a spoon to remove the inside of the onion. Dice the removed parts into small pieces.
Place a frying pan over medium heat and add the oil. Add the onion, garlic, thyme and salt and fry for 5 – 7 minutes until the onions are translucent.
Lower the heat and add White Cheddar and Cream Cheese. Cook until the cheese has melted.
Fill each onion with the stuffing and top with a sprig of rosemary.
Wrap each onion individually in foil. Braai for 20 – 25 minutes.
Garnish with rosemary and enjoy as a delicious braai side dish!
