400 g cauliflower florets
400g broccoli florets
Salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 x 250 ml LANCEWOOD Sauce Delight™ White Sauce
125 ml LANCEWOOD® Cheddar, grated
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cook cauliflower and broccoli in salted boiling water until just soft. Drain well. Place in a serving dish. Heat the white sauce and pour over. Sprinkle grated cheddar over and bake for 20 – 25 minutes until golden and bubbling.
HINTS & TIPS:
• Drain cooked broccoli and cauliflower very well before pouring the sauce over to prevent sauce from becoming watery.
• Mix 125 ml breadcrumbs with 45 ml melted butter and mix with the grated cheddar for a crunchy topping.
• For a loaded cauliflower & broccoli bake – Fry 1 chopped onion and 200 g chopped bacon in a little oil until golden and add to the white sauce before pouring it over. Sprinkle extra grated cheddar over and bake at 180°C for 15 – 20 minutes or until golden.
