Homemade Fish Paste

Ingredients:

230 g LANCEWOOD® Medium Fat Plain Cream Cheese
12 anchovy fillets
2 cans sardines (212 g) drained
reserving 30 ml of the oil
30 ml tomato paste
salt to taste

Method

  1. Add the cream cheese, anchovy fillets, tomato paste, sardines and the 30 ml of oil to a food processor and process until smooth.
  2. Add salt to taste.
  3. Spoon into jars and refrigerate. Use within 3 days.
  4. Serve on buttered toast and sprinkle with grated cheddar.
  5. Makes 500 ml.
