To serve:
1. Parboil the potatoes in salted boiling water until they just start to feel soft on the outside. Drain and leave to cool.
2. Using a large mixing bowl, grate the potatoes on the fine side of the grater.
3. Add the salt, garlic, onion powder, flour and cheese and mix to combine.
4. Divide mixture into 2 and shape each half into a long sausage (3 cm in diameter x 30 cm long). Place in the freezer for 30 minutes to firm.
5. Cut into 2.5 cm lengths and brush lightly with oil.
Air fryer:
Place in the basket and Air fry at 190°C for 8 minutes. Turn over and air fry for 5 more minutes.
Oven bake:
1. Preheat oven to 200°C and lightly grease a baking sheet.
2. Place the tater tots on the baking sheet and brush lightly with oil.
3. Bake for 10 – 15 minutes until golden. Flip over and bake for a further 10 minutes.
To serve:
1. Sprinkle bacon bits and chives on top.
2. Serve with your favourite DIP&TOP™, mayonnaise, tomato sauce and sweet chilli sauce.
HINTS & TIPS:
Air fryer cooking times are a guideline as temperatures may vary. Please adapt cooking time accordingly.
