Lancewood Air Fryer Mozzarella Filled Meatballs

Ingredients

Meatballs:

1 slice(s) bread , soaked in 60 ml of milk
500 g lean beef mince
60 ml tomato sauce
60 ml chutney  or sweet chilli sauce
salt & freshly ground black pepper  to taste
150 g LANCEWOOD® Medium Fat Mozzarella , cut into 1 cm x 1 cm cubes
oil  for brushing

Basil pesto dipping sauce:

250 ml LANCEWOOD® Double Cream Plain Yoghurt
45 ml basil pesto
salt  to taste

Method

Meatballs:
Mash the bread using a fork.

Add the mince, tomato sauce, chutney and seasoning to taste and mix until well combined.

Shape the mince into small balls. Push a mozzarella cube inside each and shape mince around it.

Brush the meatballs lightly with oil.

Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer, not touching and fry for 8 minutes at 180°C minutes until golden.

Serve immediately with basil pesto dipping sauce, mayonnaise, sweet chilli and/or tomato sauce.

Basil pesto dipping sauce:
Mix all ingredients together and serve with meatballs.

HINTS & TIPS:
Temperatures of air fryers may vary and cooking times may vary and is just a guideline. Please adapt cooking time accordingly.
