Lancewood Cheesy Meatball Subs

Ingredients

500 g lean beef mince
Half an onion , finely chopped 
125 ml breadcrumbs
1 large egg(s)
30 ml fresh parsley , finely chopped
30 ml fresh basil , finely chopped
2.5 ml chilli flakes
salt & freshly ground black pepper  to taste
400 g Napolitana tomato sauce
4 hot dog rolls
45 ml garlic butter , melted
LANCEWOOD® Mozzarella , 16 slices
fresh basil , chopped as garnish

Method

Add the mince, onion, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, basil, chilli flakes and seasoning to a large mixing bowl and mix well.

Shape into 16 meatballs and place in the Air fryer basket.

Air fry at 205°C for 11 minutes or until cooked through.

Place the meatballs into a saucepan and coat with the pasta sauce. Heat over low heat for a 2-3 minutes and set aside to cool slightly.

Slice the hot dog rolls in half and brush with melted garlic butter.

Place 4 meatballs onto each roll and top with some pasta sauce.

Lay 4 mozzarella slices over each hot dog and Air fry at 205°C for 2 - 3 minutes until the cheese has melted.

Garnish with basil and enjoy as a delicious lunch.
